Marta Altés

Marta Altés (Barcelona, 1982) wanted to explain stories. That's why she left her job as a graphic designer in Barcelona and moved to London, where she studied children's illustration at the Cambridge School of Art. She says it was the best decision she has made in life, and it is not for less: she published her first works with great success in the United Kingdom as soon as she finished her studies and, in record time, Altés rose to the top of the international illustration. Since then he has not stopped receiving awards, nominations and praise for his books: the Paterson Prize, the New Illustrator Honor Award, or the 2014 Reading Dragon for the best national illustrated album, among others. I am an artist, the first book he published under the Blackie Little label in 2014, he managed to conquer young and old and placed it as a national author of reference. Then came the albums My New House and The King of the House, both published by Blackie Little in 2015. Small in the jungle is his most recent album and, without doubt, his most beautiful work to date.
