Martha Erendira Torres Velazquez

Martha Erendira Torres Velazquez. I was born on January 11, 1988 in the beautiful city of Guadalajara (Mexico) and, since I can remember, the letters have always been linked to me and I to them. When I left Preschool, my mother gave me a book of short stories that she had one for each day. I remember that it was fascinating for me to discover a different story every day, and at my young age I turned those readings into a daily act that I enjoyed enormously.

Thus, when I was ten years old, I wrote my first piece of writing, which greatly moved my great-grandmother; she was a rock hard woman. That day I understood the importance of letters and their influence in the world, that's why whenever I write I try and tirelessly seek to leave a positive mark on my readers, because "all great power carries great responsibility".

Currently my greatest inspiration is my five-year-old little girl, she is my driving force and my personal critic, who helps me and teaches me day by day the magical world of children and the important role they play in the future of our world. I can't imagine doing anything else: lyrics are my life and we are intrinsically linked; I love what I do and therefore I do it with all my heart.
