Maurizio Lazzarato is a sociologist and philosopher. He trained in the 70s at the University of Padua, in Italy, but had to go into exile in Paris in the 80s after his participation in the Autonomia Operaia movement. He collaborated in the magazine Futur antérieur and is part of the editorial team of Multitudes since its foundation. He directs research projects at Universities Paris 1 and Paris 8, and is a visiting professor at the University of San Martín (Buenos Aires). He specialized in modes of subjectivation in financial capitalism, immaterial labor and cognitive capitalism, and post-socialist movements. It published, among others, Policies of the event (Tint Limón, 2006) and the factory of the indebted man (Amorrortu, 2013).
