Michel Henry (Haiphong, 1922-Albi, 2002) was a professor of philosophy at the University Paul Valery of Montpellier and gave his teaching in several French and foreign universities. He was a committed, at the forefront of phenomenology, the author of many published in part in the "Épiméthée" collection, as Barbarism, taken in the "Quadriga" collection works thinker.
