Hermine "Miep" Santrouschitz-Gies (15 February 1909 – 11 January 2010)1 was a Dutch woman, best known for being one of the people who helped Otto Heinrich Frank and his family go into hiding between 1942 and 1944, during the Nazi occupation of Amsterdam. After the capture of the Frank family, Miep kept some of the family's belongings, most notably the diary of the family's youngest daughter, Anne Frank. Later, this record was published in different languages as The Diary of Anne Frank.
