Mónica Ojeda Franco (Guayaquil, May 17, 1988) is an Ecuadorian writer, considered one of the most relevant novelists in contemporary Latin American literature. In 2017, she was included in the Bogotá39-2017 list as one of the 39 best Latin American fiction writers under 40 years of age. Among the recognitions with which she has been awarded are the Prince Claus Next Generation Prize and the ALBA Narrative Prize, in addition to being among the finalists of the Mario Vargas Llosa Biennial Novel Prize and the Ribera del Duero Short Narrative Prize.
