
Monika Zgustova (Prague, 1957) is a Czech-Spanish writer and translator. The themes of his fiction work revolve around exile, the loss of identity and the intimate life of people in times of totalitarianism. Zgustova is a key figure in the introduction of Czech literature to the Spanish-speaking world, along with Spanish Fernando de Valenzuela, having translated numerous works by Czech authors into Spanish and Catalan. The most translated author by Zgustova is Bohumil Hrabal.
