Munir Hachemi

Munir Hachemi (Madrid, 1989) graduated with a degree in Hispanic Philology from the University of Granada and later earned a master's degree in Latin American Studies and a doctorate with a dissertation on the influence of Borges on Spanish narrative. In addition to being a writer and translator, he has worked as a professor and researcher at Peking University. In 2018, Periférica published his novel *Cosas vivas*, which has been translated into several languages, and in 2021, *Granta* magazine included him in its selection of the "25 best young Spanish-language writers." In 2022, he won the Ojo Crítico Poetry Prize for his collection *los restos* (La Bella Varsovia). His latest works are the novel *El árbol viene* (Periférica, 2023) and the biographical text *Torrente Malvido. Arqueología del fracaso* (Zut, 2023).
