Nazul Aramayo

Born in Torreón, Coahuila, on April 5, 1985, he is a narrator, poet, and journalist. He earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication from the Universidad Iberoamericana Torreón. He serves as co-editor of the newspaper Vanguardia and has been the editor of the Semanario de Investigación (Research Weekly) of the same publication. He has taught literature at the high school level. He has collaborated in workshops and talks for the State Program for the Promotion of Reading in 2015 and 2017. He is a contributor to Clarimonda, Replicante, Revista de Coahuila, Semanario de Vanguardia, Suplemento de libros (Book Supplement), Tierra Adentro, and Yaconic. He is a recipient of a scholarship from the State Program for the Creation and Development of Art of Coahuila (PECDA) in the Young Creators category, poetry, from 2007 to 2008. He was a recipient of a scholarship from the FONCA Young Creators program in the novel category from 2010 to 2011. Recipient of a scholarship from the Coahuila State Program for Artistic Creation and Development (PECDA) in the Young Creators category, short story genre, from 2011 to 2012 and 2014 to 2015. He was awarded the 2017 Coahuila State Journalism Award in the feature film category. He also won the 29th Magdalena Mondragón National Literary Contest in 2013 in the short story category. His work has been included in the anthologies Horizontes de sol y polvo 2. Panorama del cuento joven lagunero (Horizons of Sun and Dust 2. Panorama of the Young Laguna Story) (Ruth Castro, Coahuila Ministry of Culture, 2015) and Cuentistas de Tierra Adentro (Tierra Adentro Publishing House, 2017).
