Nono de Panópolis

Nono of Panópolis was an epic poet in Greek late antiquity, born in Panópolis (Akhmim) in the Egyptian Thebaid, then part of the Eastern Roman Empire. Probably lived in the late fourth century or early V century AD.
Wrote the Dionysia epic tale about the god Dionysus, a paraphrase of the Gospel of John and two poems that have been lost: the Battle of the Giants and Bassarica.
