Omar García Brunelli has a degree in Music, specializing in Musicology, from the Universidad Católica Argentina. He was a professor of urban popular music at said University and at the Juan José Castro Conservatory. He currently teaches classes at the Tango Educational Center in the City of Buenos Aires. He wrote articles for the Dictionary of Spanish and Latin American Music and the New Grove Dictionary of Jazz. He was vice president of the Argentine Association of Musicology and works as a researcher at the National Institute of Musicology, as part of the team that produces the second volume of the Anthology of River Plate tango. He published the book Studies on the work of Astor Piazzolla in this same editorial.
