Oswaldo Zavala - (Ciudad Juárez, 1975) is a storyteller, journalist and professor at The College of Staten Island and The Graduate Center, City University of New York. He is the author of the novel Siembra de nubes (2011) and the essays Unbearable modernity: Roberto Bolaño on the limits of contemporary Latin American literature (2015) and Back to modernity: Genealogies of Mexican literature at the end of the century (2017) . As a journalist, he regularly collaborates in the magazine Proceso.
