Pablo Gianera

Pablo Gianera was born in Buenos Aires in 1971. He is an essayist, critic and translator. He wrote the books Fragile Forms. Improvisation, indeterminacy and chance in music (Debate), Music in the South group. An unfinished modernity (Eternal Cadence) and a brief writing about Arnold Schönberg, Alban Berg and modern Vienna. He teaches Aesthetics and Musical Semiotics at the Manuel de Falla Conservatory of Music; also at the National University of Tres de Febrero (Untref) and at the National University of Arts (UNA). He is Deputy Editor of Culture and Shows at the newspaper La Nación and was a member of the board of directors of the Diario de Poesía magazine. He published articles about music, visual arts and literature in magazines in Argentina, Germany, Spain and Mexico. He translated books by, among others, Novalis, Georg Büchner, Hugo von Hofmannsthal, Mauricio Kagel, Goethe, Immanuel Kant, Jack Kerouac, Andreas Huyssen, Günter Grass and Adelbert von Chamisso.
