
Pascal Picq, born January 22, 1954 in Bois-Colombes (Hauts-de-Seine), is a French paleoanthropologist. He was lecturer at the Collège de France from 1991, during the period when Yves Coppens held the chair of paleoanthropology and prehistory (1983-2005). Not being a professor elected by the Assembly, he did not provide any teaching there, but took part in certain research.
Pascal Picq is a prolific author on the origin of humans and their evolution, and has made himself known to the general public through his many popular scientific works.
