Pascual Reyes (Mexico City, February 8, 1976) is a Mexican composer and singer. He grew up in the suburbs near Ciudad Satélite, Estado de México. He grew up in a middle class family, his parents are Irene Llanas Larios and Pascual Reyes Avilés. Since he was a child he was struck by music, on the one hand his father taught him the world of blues, rock and jazz (Eric Clapton, Carlos Santana, Oscar Peterson, Joe Pass) and on his mother's side the romantic ballad (Juan Gabriel , Rocío Dúrcal, Vicky Carr among others). At the age of 12 he began to take organ classes together with his brother Andrés Reyes, who showed great taste and ability for the instrument, winning prizes in important competitions nationwide. Pascual on his side migrated to the guitar at the age of 13 where he approached classical music, however, it was until the age of 17 that he met his guitar teacher José Coggiola who immersed him in the world of harmony, understanding the processes and the logic of composition. It was at this time that Pascual approached and had an interest in Mexican popular music. Seeing a transcription of popular boleros made by his teacher, he realized the richness and harmonic complexity of this genre.

Upon arriving at university at ITESM CEM in 1994, he began to study public accounting because his parents were denied the opportunity to study music at a professional level. It lasted 6 months in accounting and he finally moved to Communication Sciences, where he found subjects that had an affinity with his main interest, which was music, graduating like this in the year 2000. Throughout his university stay he never left music, It was even there where he began to musicalize his first pieces for university cinema.

He never had a fixed or relevant rock band, however from his youth he used to play with Adolfo Castañeda Alias "Chewie" with whom years later, in 2000, he founded, San Pascualito Rey, and it was at the university that he met the rest of the group: Juan Morales, Alejandro Morales and Jorch Romero.
