Pedro Serrano

He was born in Montreal, Canada, on May 4, 1957. Poet. He lives in Mexico City. He studied Hispanic Language and Literature at the unam ffyl, a master's degree in Philosophy at the University of London, a doctorate in Letters at the unam and a diploma for teachers of Spanish Language and Literature at the Institute for Ibero-American Cooperation. He is a full-time professor and coordinator of the postgraduate course in letters of the unam ffyl. He has taught courses and lectures at the following universities: Autónoma de Colombia, Autónoma de Barcelona, Complutense de Madrid, Alcalá de Henares, Oxford, Glasgow, Libre de Berlín, among others. He was the founder of the literature magazine Cartapacios, editor of the Material de Lectura collection, Modern Poetry Series; editor-in-chief of the magazine México en el Arte and founding member of the magazine Fractal. He also participates in the writing of the Poetry Newspaper and the magazine Létrangère (Belgium). Contributor to Anales de Literatura Hispanoamericana, Armas y Letras, Biblioteca de México, El Bagre, Casa del Tiempo, Cartapacios, Diálogos, El Semanario Cultural, Fractal, Graffiti, Grafito, Imago, La Gaceta del fce, La Jornada Semanal, La Orquesta, Letras Libres, Los Universitarios, México en el Arte, Milenio, Nueva Estafeta, Ovaciones en la Cultura, Periódico de Poesía, Sábado, Ulrika and Vuelta.
