Peter Nolan

Peter Nolan is Sinyi Professor of Chinese Management at the University of Cambridge and professor of the Committee on Development Studies. He is also director of the Chinese Big Business Program at the Judge Business School and associate professor at Jesus College in Cambridge. He graduated from the University of Cambridge and obtained his master's degree, and his doctorate from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. He has also been awarded an honorary doctorate from the Copenhagen Business School.

His January 2000 report on the Chinese big business program received the following comment from the Financial Times: «Peter Nolan knows more about Chinese companies and their international competitiveness than anyone else in the world, including China itself. ”

For the past five years he has focused his interest in Central Asia, visiting the area regularly and meeting high-ranking officials in Kazakhstan and in particular with the sovereign wealth fund Samruk-Kazyna.
