Rasheed Araeen (in Urdu, رشید آرائیں (Karachi 1935) is a Pakistani-born, London-based conceptual artist, sculptor, painter, writer, and curator. He did initial studies in mathematics and physics before graduating in civil engineering from the NED University of Engineering and Technology in 1962, and has worked as a visual artist connecting life, art and activism since arriving in London from Pakistan in 1964.
