Raül Garrigasait

Raül Garrigasait (Solsona, 1979) is a writer and a Hellenist. In the field of essays, he has explored topics such as cosmopolitanism (El gos cosmopolita i dos espècimens més, 2012), Santiago Rusiñol and the entry of Modernity in Catalonia (El fugitiu que no se'n va, 2018) and the relationship between Greco-Latin classics and power (Els founders, 2020). His novel Los strangeños (2017) was awarded, in its original Catalan version, with the Llibreter prize, the Òmnium prize for the best novel in Catalan language of the year and the El Setè Cel prize. Moving between reflection and narrative, he has gone constructing a work that takes advantage of elements of a long literary and philosophical tradition to question itself about the idols and ills of Modernity.

In Fragmenta he has published La ira (2020), within the series «Deadly Sins». For the set of essays published in 2020, he obtained the "Punt de Llibre" award from digital Núvol.
