Richard Bernstein (New York, 1932) is one of the most influential philosophers of the United States. He trained at the University of Chicago and Yale University and taught at the Hebrew University in Israel and Haveford College. Since 1989 he has been one of the most emblematic figures of the New School for Social Research in New York.
