Robert Brenner is Professor of History and director of the Center for Social Theory and Comparative History at UCLA. He is the author of "The economic expansion and the stock market bubble" (Akal, 2003), "The economy of global turbulence" (Akal, 2009), "Merchants and revolution" (Akal, 2011) and has co-edited the volume "Rebel Rank and File. Labor Militancy and Revolt from Below During the Long 1970s "(2010).
