Robert Schumann (Zwickau, June 8, 1810-Endenich, Bonn today, July 29, 1856) was a German composer and music critic of the era of romanticism. It is considered one of the largest and most representative composers of Romanticism.
His life and work at its best reflect the nature of Romanticism: passion, drama and joy. In his works of great lyrical intensity, a remarkable musical complexity converge with the intimate union of music and text.
