Roland Barthes (France, 1915-1980 ) writer and one of the most important twentieth century French semioticians . At the University of Paris he earned degrees in classical literature , grammar and philosophy . In 1934 he was diagnosed with tuberculosis admitted that keeps various clinics for over ten years. Was reader at the Universities of Alexandria and Budapest and later worked as a researcher in lexicology and sociology at the National Center for Scientific Research in Paris . Roland Barthes is the author of over twenty studies structuralist semiotics , critical analysis of the literary work but also books about photography, music , art and film .
