Román Cuartango (Santander in 1958), is a full professor of philosophy at the University of Barcelona. He develops his research in the fields of Contemporary Philosophy (theories of subjectivity, pragmatism, hermeneutics and philosophy of existence, aesthetics, forms of experience), the Philosophy of history and German Idealism.
Among the various essays, collaborations in magazines and in collective books, the following writings can be highlighted: Subjective singularity and social universality (1997), A nothing that can be everything (reflexivity in the science of Hegel's Logic) (1999) , Just as the poets found… (Heidegger and Hölderlin's poetry) (2000), Self-determination (about the conduct of one's life) (2004).
