Román Hereter

Román Hereter (Lleida, 1959) PhD in History from the Autonomous University of Barcelona. Master's Degree in Classical Archaeology from the Rovira i Virgili University-Autonomous University of Barcelona. Graduated in History from the UAB with a Major in Ancient History and a Minor in Medieval History. Graduated in Archaeology from the UAB. Graduated in Information Sciences, branches Journalism and Advertising and Technician in Tourism CETA. Focusing his professional life on getting to know the world and making it known through the different media, he has combined his passion for travel, his journalistic profession and his photographic sensitivity with the desire to visit all the independent and sovereign countries in the world (193), a goal that he reached in June 2004, days before turning 45, after 25 years of traveling an average of 150 days a year. After his professional beginnings linked to music programmes and sports broadcasts, he decided to specialise in travel journalism, alternating multiple collaborations in newspapers, magazines and television with his programme “Viajar es un Placer” (Travelling is a Pleasure) with thirty uninterrupted seasons on the airwaves of various radio stations. He has received numerous distinctions and awards. In recent years he has been developing his childhood passion centred on history and archaeology.
