The British journalist and writer began writing in 1994 as an intern at The Nation. Years later, he became senior editor and writer at Colors, the famous bilingual international magazine about local cultures. In 1999 he moved to London where he began his independent career. Since then, he has written for major media and Independent on Sunday, Arena, Financial Times, Daily Telegraph and others; It has been a war correspondent in Kosovo to Condé Nast Traveler and has published three books of nonfiction. These include A Life, which explores the everyday reality of refugees and displaced persons in Liberia; and The Big Necessity, which analyzes the public health systems of the world, and the potential toxicity posed by untreated human waste.
