Felix Ruben Garcia Sarmiento, known as Ruben Dario (Metapa, now Ciudad Dario, Matagalpa, January 18, 1867 - León, February 6, 1916) was a poet, journalist and Nicaraguan diplomat, leader of the Spanish language literary modernism . It is possibly the poet who has had a greater and more lasting influence on twentieth century poetry in the Hispanic area. It is called the prince of Castilian letters.
