
Santiago Joaquín Insausti is a sociologist and holds a PhD in Social Sciences from the University of Buenos Aires. He currently works as a researcher at the National Scientific and Technical Research Council of Argentina, based at the National University of General Sarmiento. He was a postdoctoral researcher at the Institute of Social Research of the National Autonomous University of Mexico and a María Zambrano Research Fellow at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. His research explores the transformations of sexual and gender identities in Latin America since the 1950s, as well as their impact on Latin American society, culture, and politics.
