Agadir, Morocco, 1981) Of Norman and Moroccan descent, Saphia Azzeddine lived her childhood in Agadir and, from the age of nine, in Ferney-Voltaire (France). He studied at the College of Literature, graduated in sociology, lived in Houston, worked as an assistant assistant in Geneva, and became a journalist, screenwriter, and writer. His first novel, Confessions to Allah has been adapted for the theater at the Off d’Avignon Festival in 2008, with a staging by Gérard Gélas. In 2009 it was presented at the Théâtre du Petit-Montparnasse and again at the Off d’Avignon Festival and until September 2010 the show has been on tour in France, Switzerland, Belgium and Luxembourg. In 2010, Saphia acted in Olivier Baroux L’Italien's film and published her third novel, La Mecque-Phuket, starring two sisters of Maghrebi origin. Her second novel, My father is a cleaning woman, has been adapted to the cinema in 2010, Saphia has directed this feature film.
