Born in Glasgow in 1975, he grew up in Manchester and studied at the University of Oxford. She currently works as a professor of Creative Writing at the University of Warwick. She is the author of six novels, including Tierra fría (Duomo, 2010), Night Waking (2011) or The Tidal Zone (2016). Ghost Wall was chosen as one of the books of the year by The Times, The Guardian, The Times Literary Supplement, Financial Times, The Spectator and New Statesman.
