Sergio Armando Rentería Alejandre is a philologist and professor of Asian and African languages with a specialty in South Asia (ancient India), at the Center for Asian and African Studies of El Colegio de México, where he teaches Sanskrit, literature and Sanskrit poetics. In addition, he has taught courses in Latin, classical Greek, etymologies and Greco-Latin literature in various public and private institutions. He has participated in different national and international forums with themes of Indology and classical culture. He has published books on Sanskrit teaching, annotated translations and articles in various national and international magazines and collaborated in the philological research and publication of the Sanskrit-Spanish Dictionary. His lines of research focus on the translation of Sanskrit texts on poetry and poetics and on the development of teaching materials for the teaching and dissemination of the Sanskrit language.
