Senior scientist at the CSIC Institute of Optics. He currently holds the position of secretary of the Spanish Society of Optics and of the Spanish Committee for the International Year of Light 2015. His main area of research is visual optics and optical design. He is the author of the popular book: How do our glasses work? published by the CSIC and Catarata.
