
Shamini Flint (1969, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) is known for her Inspector Singh Investigates series of crime novels, published in several languages worldwide, and for her children's books with cultural and environmental themes.
Shamini graduated with a law degree from Trinity College London and later earned a Master's degree from Cambridge University, where she received several awards. For ten years, she worked as a corporate lawyer, which allowed her to travel throughout Asia, experiences that are later reflected in the Inspector Singh novels.
After her time as a lawyer, she decided to focus on writing and her role as an environmental activist, including promoting fair trade products in Singapore, where she currently resides.
