Shamini Flint (1969, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) is known for her Inspector Singh Investigates series of crime novels, published in several languages ​​worldwide, and for her children's books with cultural and environmental themes.

Shamini graduated with a law degree from Trinity College London and later earned a Master's degree from Cambridge University, where she received several awards. For ten years, she worked as a corporate lawyer, which allowed her to travel throughout Asia, experiences that are later reflected in the Inspector Singh novels.

After her time as a lawyer, she decided to focus on writing and her role as an environmental activist, including promoting fair trade products in Singapore, where she currently resides.
