Shantí Vera is one of the most important young dancers in Latin America. He has participated in festivals, tours, and concerts in Mexico, Germany, Chile, Costa Rica, Panama, Colombia, Italy, France, Poland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Ireland, Belarus, Romania, Brazil, and Spain. He is the director of the Cuatro x Cuatro company (2007–) and of the CuatroxCuatro Festival (2009–), held annually in honor of his sister, human rights defender Nadia Vera, who was the festival's first organizer.
