Surendranath Dasgrupta

Surendranath Dasgupta (1887-1952), original state of Bengal, is one of the most prominent and influential philosophers of India and one of the founders and activists of the Hindu revival called. His magnum opus, A History of Indian Philosophy, is one of the works of reference for any student of thought in India. He has written dozens of books and studies on Indian philosophy and literature (none of them yet translated into Spanish). Mircea Eliade was a teacher until he fell in love with his daughter, a relationship that Dasgupta never approved. It is known in the West for his many travels as a teacher and lecturer.
