Teju Cole

Teju Cole (Kalamazoo, Michigan, 1975) grew up in Nigeria and settled in the United States in 1992. He is a writer, photographer and art historian. He made his debut in 2007 with the novel Every Day is for the Thief (Cliff, 2016), which was followed by Open City (Cliff, 2012), an acclaimed work and winner of the PEN / Hemingway Prize, the New York City Book Award for Fiction and the Rosenthal Award from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
