Thiago is half French, half Brazilian, and 90% bearded. As a child, Thiago de Moraes was constantly scolded for doodling instead of paying attention. He still gets scolded constantly, but not so much for his doodling. After twenty years working as an art director and illustrator, his first picture book, The Zoomer’s Handbook (written with his wife, Ana), was published by Andersen Press in 2015. Thiago lives in London with his wife, his children, and his tortoise, Mordisquitos (who is actually a tiny dinosaur). He still lives surrounded by books and still draws all day, every day.
