Vinod Verma

Vinod Verma is a pharmacologist, neurobiologist and Ayurvedic physician. After a PhD in Reproductive Biology in India, she studied neurobiology in Paris and received her second PhD there. She then worked at the National Institute of Health in Bethesda (USA) and at the Max Planck Institute in Freiberg. For the past twenty years, Vinod Verma has studied Ayurveda in the Guru-Shishya tradition at the Banaras Hindu University. She brought the first saving knowledge of Ayurveda as a scientific discipline to the West. Her numerous books are fundamental works of Ayurveda and have been translated into many languages. She runs two Ayurvedic institutes in India and regularly gives courses and seminars in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
