Volker Spierling, born April 16, 1947 in Frankfurt, he studied philosophy, pedagogy and sociology. He has taught at various universities. The main theme of his research is the work of the great German philosopher Arthur Schopenhauer. He has published among other works: Materialien zu Schopenhauers »Die Welt als Wille und Vorstellung" (1984), Arthur Schopenhauer, Philosophische Vorlesungen (4 volumes, 1984 ff.) Schopenhauer im Denken der Gegenwart. Beiträge zu seiner Aktualität 23 (1987), Arthur Schopenhauer.
