Sir William Gerald Golding, CBE (Newquay, Cornwall, UK, September 19, 1911-Perranaworthal, Cornwall, UK, June 19, 1993) was a British novelist and poet, won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1983, especially known for his work lord of the flies.
