William Wymark Jacobs

William Wymark Jacobs (8 September 1863 – 1 September 1943) was a British comedian, novelist and storyteller. She is best known for one of her macabre stories such as The Monkey's Paw, included in the short story book The Lady of the Barge (The Lady of the Boat, 1902). Most of his work, however, is attached to the humorous genre.
