Wolfgang Schuller (1935) trained as a lawyer and later studied classical studies. From 1972 until his retirement in 2004 he was Professor of Ancient History (since 1976 at the University of Konstanz). His main fields of research are Greek antiquities, the history of women of antiquity and the history of the former GDR.
