Xavier Leon-Dufour is a Jesuit and a French Catholic theologian, born in Paris in 1913 and died in Pau November 13, 2007. He was professor of Scripture at the center and director of Sevres collections published by Threshold Editions du Cerf and._x000D_
He was particularly known for his vocabulary of Biblical theology, published in 1962, a work which is always a reference for students of theology. He has done important work on the Synoptic Gospels and the Gospel of John. He took part in the doctrinal controversies that followed the Second Vatican Council.
