Tránsito was born from the hand of Sol Salama, founding editor, who has been accompanied by Donna Salama at the helm of design from the beginning. The journey began in the fall of 2018 with the conviction that a book is a place, the best place to get lost and delve into the unknown.

We publish contemporary literature. We aim to curate a catalog of unique and diverse authors whose voices dialogue and reflect, through fiction and nonfiction, on everything that concerns and obsesses us today. Our titles include novels, short stories, literary essays, testimonies, memoirs, and our Miniaturas collection publishes small books of all kinds—chronicles, meditations, poetic prose.

We like to make people uncomfortable with our books; we don't shy away from it. We believe that those that move us, those that shock us and take us to a place we weren't before, are the ones that help us understand this world we inhabit a little better. And that's what we seek. Reading is transformation, reading is transition.
