The irremediable and certain situation of life is death. However, it is an unknowable condition, that is, we know nothing about it because when we face it there is no longer any possibility of verbalizing it, of accounting for it. But we can notice the anguish of its echoes for when we face the death of those close to us. It is a shock, it is the immediate production of the anguish of death impossible to represent and, therefore, to understand. This is a text that, for the same reasons, tries to explain that experience for those who suddenly face the anguish of death of a family member, particularly for those who are in charge of someone hospitalized in the Intensive Care Units. Under a psychoanalytic perspective, we hope that all those involved, doctors, family members, people who suffer from this type of anguish, find the necessary accompaniment to approach such a painful situation.
