December 3, 1976, two days before the Smile Jamaica concert –with the starring performance of the prodigal son, Bob Marley&8722;. At the meeting, in the midst of the Cold War, neither the most seductive comrades of Castro's Cuba nor the restless and disturbing US intelligence services are missing. That afternoon, seven gunmen, taking advantage of a band rehearsal, assault the singer's house, injuring the artist himself, his wife and his manager. This electrifying choral tragedy recreates the life and tribulations of those assailants, transports us to the heart of the dangerous streets of the Jamaican capital, in the company of gunmen, traffickers, lovers, CIA agents &8722;and even the occasional ghost&8722;, that make up much of Kingston's human landscape.
