Silver Road is the poetic route that Gilda Rincón invites us to travel to find the snail that appears after it rains. But just as the rain reveals the whereabouts of this wandering animal, this careful selection of poems discovers the creative power of language with each verse that composes it. At the same time, it is an excuse to share the harvest of words that the author has happily collected, just as her neighbors in Chiapas do with the chicozapotes, soursop, bananas and mangoes. Each poetic gesture of the word is accompanied by the beautiful illustrations of Bàrbara Sansó, who has had the sensitivity necessary to ensure that each poem is accompanied by endearing images that reveal a sleepy cat as well as a friendly and cunning fox.
