Body and capitalism studies the individual-body as the place of capitalist appropriation, as synthesis, expression and reconversion, alienated, individual and socioeconomic property. The body is seen as a penetrated and reconverted entity, structured by relations of power, property, production and exchange of goods under a capitalist ideology in its different phases of development: modernity, postmodernity, liberalism and neoliberalism; mediated by relations of production and money, symbolic and ideological, as the principle of material value and purchase and sale, as well as by accelerated scientific and technological development, which is synthesized in behaviors, physiologies, attitudes, appearances, work techniques or the physical actions and appearances that the body experiences from couplings, subjective and objective reconversions in capitalism. These are bodily correlates emanating from an ideology and a worldview that reconfigure the human body from symbolic or narrative representations of mass culture, as well as the development of new technologies and the virtualization of bodies as a promise of well-being and capitalist happiness that They appear as appropriation of the individual-body in capitalism.
