As there were two of the first punks in the very English and provincial city of Crawley, Lol Tolhurst and Robert Smith did not have it easy. Because of his status as strangers, his was an friendship based initially in the proximity and in his shared passion for music, but specifically by the punk that boils in London and for other artificial initiatives that enroned with that rupturist movement. Attended at the name of The Easy Cure, they began to play in pubs and soon developed a style and focus of their own to compose songs, which would crystallize, over time, in timeless songs that awakened a profound sense of identification and empathy in listeners.
