Pussy Riot is a Russian artistic collective of unequivocal punk inspiration. On February 21, 2012, five of its members perpetrated a protest action in the Cathedral of the Savior Christ in Moscow. Three of them, Maria Alokhina, Nadezhda Tolokonnikova and Yekaterina Samutsevich, known as Masha, Nadya, and Katya, were arrested and accused of blasphemy, apology of terrorism, vandalism and, of addition, for incite religious hatred. As the judicial cause followed its course, these young people became feminist icons, attracting the attention and support of activists and artists from all over the world. They were condemned two years in prison, and the irreducible defense of their ideals has been a source of inspiration for all the cause world scale.
